Welcome! We are the Missouri chapter of the fastest growing, moderate political party in the United States. As one of the original political parties in America, our historic roots include four members elected President and also the original party of Abraham Lincoln.
The Modern Whig Party is not a run-of-the-mill third party, but instead seeks to regain its position as a powerful, mainstream advocate for such issues as fiscal responsibility, strong national defense, and bold social progression.
If you find yourself agreeing with certain Republican issues and also with certain Democratic issues, but forced to pick an ideological side that is likely far to the left or right of your actual personal values, then this is your home. We are people from all over the political spectrum that find common ground to pragmatically solve the problems facing America without pointless political bickering. We are united under the Modern Whig Philosophy.

We follow a six tenet philosophy that does not specifically associate with centrism, but referred to as the "Modern Whig philosophy" due to the fact that our movement takes stands on issues ranging across the mainstream political spectrum. Our philosophy has some correlation with transpartisanship due to this acceptance of anyone from around the political map. Another correlation with our philosophy is that it can be seen as very pragmatic due to a coupling and/or grouping together of positions from many various political ideologies.
Six tenets:
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY — The Modern Whig philosophy is to empower the states with the resources to handle their unique affairs.
ENERGY INDEPENDENCE — Reduce dependence on foreign oil by developing practical sources of alternative energy. This will have the simultaneous effect of changing the national security dynamic.
EDUCATION/SCIENTIFIC ADVANCEMENT — Increased public and private emphasis on fields such as space, oceanic, medical and nanotechnology. Also, providing common-sense solutions to enhance our educational system from pre-school to university-level studies.
STATES RIGHTS — Each state can generally determine its course of action based on local values and unique needs.
SOCIAL PROGRESSION — Government should refrain from legislating morality.
VETERANS AFFAIRS — Vigilant advocacy relating to the medical, financial, and overall well-being of our military families and veterans.
